Gentiles & Circumcision

The website Gentiles & Circumcision explains what circumcision means to descendents of Abraham following the everlasting covenant between God and Abraham's descendants of Genesis 17 and then reviews the most controversial subject in the New Testament:- which began at the conversion of Cornelius in Acts 10: i.e. the first baptisms of devout gentile proselytes without the circumcision previously required in accordance with Exodus 12:48. The Galatian Heresy was one of the results of this contention which Paul addressed when he wrote Galatians. Substantial parts of Romans and the Jerusalem Conference of Acts 15 are also dedicated to the same big issue. Though noticeable by its absence, is any further debate about any further (so called) changes in the written Torah-law. As such, the site argues that no other changes to written Torah-law were endorsed by the first century Church. In fact, had any other aspect of written Torah-law been changed e.g. food laws, sacrificial law, Sabbath observance, Holy Day observance, Nazirite vows etc. then if it had survived, the degree of contention in the predominantly Jewish Church at that time would have made the New Testament twice as thick as it is now with the conferences, debating and epistle writing.

Galatians, Paul, The Torah-Law & Legalism

Galatians, Paul, The Torah-Law & Legalism explores the Galatian heresy - the movement within the church to continue circumcising gentile proselytes and also the fact that traditional theologians believe about Galatians is about the "doing away" of the written Torah-Law. It argues that in the first century Jewish law comprised of both the written Torah-Law given by God to Moses, and the traditions and additions of the Pharisess known as the Oral Torah-Law. It reviews Paul's attitude to the Oral Torah-Law before & after his conversion and suggests that when Paul sounds critical of law, he's more likely to be critical of Oral Torah-Law as Christ was, not the written Torah-Law, which Jews consider to be a blessing.

The Tithe Debate

The issue of whether the giving of ten percent of one's income to a church is mandatory is a controversial subject. The Tithe-Debate is designed to help individuals to come to their own conclusions about this complex subject. It presents ten essays in favour of tithing and three essays not in favour of tithing.
